Titans bounce back to beat Glory boys

For the second night in a row, the trio of Jacob Midson, Ian Mead and Scott Dixon faced off against a Nick Howard led team.
Monday night was in the Northampton Premier where the teams battled to a 5-5 draw, and tonight it was back in Greenleys for the second time this season.
Joining Nick was Guy Sparrow and Matt Horrocks. Usual Titan, Craig Brown having been dropped for reported unknown disciplinary reasons.
The Titans had the best possible start to the night.
Guy and Jacob had an entertaining 4 set match that Sparrow comfortably won in the end.
Nick and Ian too things further and went all the way to 5, with Mead having only lost to Alan and Craig in MK this year,
Howard missing out on 2 match points at 10-8 in the 4th, but finally doing “the double” over star man Mead on back to back nights (still a few more wins to go for Howard before the scores between these two are even!)
Horrocks followed that up with a very tough 3-0 over an inspired Dixon (13-11, 12-10, 13-11!)
He then joined Howard to claim a very tight doubles, and one that looked down and out as Jacob and Ian led 2-0.
A great fightback (and a little luck) saw the Titans come roaring back to claim a 3-2 win.
Mead finally got Glory on the board with a tough 3-1 win over Sparrow, all 4 games going to deuce before Horrocks had to overcome a resurgent Midson who came storming back from a 2-0 deficit to draw level at 2-2. One way traffic in the 5th as Matt claimed the win.
Howard had his own troubles with Scott who was playing very nicely - But it wasn’t quite enough, as the Wizard of Wellingborough couldn’t capitalise at the right time to lose 3-1.
Mead saw off Horrocks in 3 and Scott finally got the point he deserved against Guy to give Glory their 3rd win on the night.
Which left captain vs captain, Jacob and Nick. 4 close ends, but it was the Titan who reigned supreme one again for back to back hat tricks over the two nights.

Great game all around.
