Kings come through tough Sasaki encounter!
Last years team of Nicholas Wong, Michael Wilkins and William Lim faced off against Nick, Guy and Craig at Greenleys.
After Nick dispatched Michael in 3, and Craig did the same to William in 4, the unbeaten singles run for the Kings, which dated all the way back to week one, was finally over.
Nicholas Wong was the man to do the damage, taking down Guy in 3 close ends.
Sasaki almost came through the doubles as well, but the nimble Howard and Brown put on their dancing shoes to waltz their way to a 5 set win.
However, the fortune for Kings was short lived, as Wilkins rolled back the years to beat Craig in another 5 setter.
Micheal to his credit had a fantastic evening, backing up his win against Craig with a 3-0 victory over Guy as well!
Guy wasn’t at the races tonight, but it still takes a hell of an effort to beat the man who was previously unbeaten for the season!
The one saviour for Guy was a hard fought 3-1 win over William.
Nick had the better of Nicholas and William, comfortably winning them both 3-0 and completing his own 9-0 on the night.
His singles record now stands at 15-0 on the year, with Spinners up next!
The match of the night goes to Craig against Nicholas.
In a crazy topsy turvy affair, despite losing 2 of the ends to 4, Brown showed he’s still a force to be reckoned with as he came through 11-9 in the decider!
A solid match overall - Could have easily been 9-1 or 5-5!
