Titans on verge of history with another rout of Warriors
They say styles make matches, and for whatever reason, this is a not a match up that suits the Warriors.
In 3 matches this season, the very talented trio of Ricky Taiwo, Darren Ward and Ameya Phatak have combined for just 4 points against the MK Titans.
3 of those points coming from their former skipper, Ricky, as he managed to pick up 1 point in each game.
Last night it was against Guy Sparrow in a tense 11-7 5th set, having already succumbed in 3 to both Nick and Craig.
Ameya was the other winner for Warriors tonight, as he beat Nick for the first time in a while (if not ever?) in a brilliant 3-1 attacking display.
Howard salvaged something from the evening when trailing Darren 2-0, to come storming back for the 3-2 win and give Darren his 3rd winless night against the Titans.
Brown was untroubled all night in a comfortable outing, not dropping an end, and no one getting past 8 points!
Guy battled hard for a 5 set win over Ameya, before taking a 3-0 win over Darren.
Which left Nick and Craig to pick up the doubles in a tight 5 set affair, but the experience of the Titans players shone through at the end.
Greenleys Monarchs kept the title challenge alive with a 9-1 demolition of Greenleys Glory this week.
Which leave the Titans 7 points clear going into the final week.
Monarchs host Leighton Buzzard whilst the Titans play Sasaki on the final Wednesday of the season.
Monarchs need a 10-0 win and hope Sasaki can pull off a shock 8-2 win against the 2023 Champions.
Stranger things have happened……
