Milton Keynes Classics took on Mursley Swallows, and soon started carving out a lead. In a topsy turvy opening set, Nick Markham bounced back from poor legs 1 and four, to beat Martin Johnson, then Dylan Cox beat John Paul in straight games and Masoud Nassor did enough to beat Peter Sear over four legs. Classics added the Doubles as Masoud/Dylan took it in straight games, albeit close in legs 2/3, against Peter/Martin, and it became 5-0 as Dylan beat Martin, as Martin's contrived to lose the 3rd leg from 7-1 up, but an excellent comeback from Dylan. Swallows finally got on the scoresheet, as from one leg all after two deuces, Peter's defensive skills got the better of Nick in four legs. John caused Masoud some problems as they reached 2 legs all, but Masoud came through in the decider to make the match score 6-1, and it become 7-1 and then 8-1, as firstly Dylan squeaked through three very close games to beat Peter, then Masoud again went the distance against an inconsistent Martin, but powered through to win the fifth leg. Swallows gained another consolation win at the end, as John comfortably beat Nick in the final set of the night. The win took Classics above Swallows in the table, and effectively puts Classics in a battle with Tornadoes for 3rd spot.
