Great whitewash win for Topspin tonight in this top v bottom clash with the team looking strong and playing with bags of confidence to open up a 35 point gap between the two sides.

Russell Penn finished last week with an 11-0 game win and was going for another in his opening set here against substitute Andy Jenkins, playing up from Division 3, before missing a hit at 10-0.  Just the one game dropped by Russell to Rob McPheat who certainly had his shooing boots on for that one. I dropped 2 games but Melvyn Kelly was in cracking form for his ‘man of the match’ award with all straight game wins. Dave McGarragh completed the Data line-up in a match that finished at 9.50 pm.

Our first doubles win of the season too, long time coming but worth the wait.
